The Challenge
Design the successor to GovaDeck, the terrace system from Govaplast.
Our solution
The innovative aspect of the DUAL Decking System lies in the combination of wide groove-groove boards with narrow tongue-tongue boards. This results in a stylish and varied pattern with a sleek finish. Our designers have developed the substructure in such a way that various deck shapes can be created with a limited number of components. Moreover, installation is quick and easy, and the deck remains perfectly in shape regardless of temperature fluctuations.
Sustainability is key: the decking boards are made entirely from 100% recycled plastic, which can be recycled again and used as raw material for new products. Additionally, the long lifespan of the material provides extra ecological benefits.
The DUAL Decking System was presented at Architect@Work Brussels in May 2024.
